you give what information you have to your insurance person and let them do the rest and get the report to show its not your fault i have never in my life heard of that but i would just let them do it and fight it out that is why you have insurance. take care.

Just give the licence plate and drivers details to your insurance company and let them chase it up..

Contact your own insurance company. They'll handle it. It's in their best interest to find the other party's insurance company.

Your insurance company has to get it and deal with it. I think you can't have it because the driver is a minor.
Dirty deal, I never knew it worked that way either but I'm sure the Police know what they are talking about.

technically you are not at liberty to know the other party's ins. info. until you are ready to file a lawsuit against them. then your lawyer needs to go after their ins. co. for a claim to cover all damages, whatever they may be….if their insurance policy cannot cover all damages, you may end up filing a claim against your own insurance company to get the money that is rightfully yours to cover all expenses. my best advice is to get the best lawyer you can find!

Let your insurance company handle the situation. They should be following up with a completed report with the police dept. However, the information should be on the accident report as an "exchange of drivers info". You can follow up with the police dept. also. If it is mandatory in your state to have proof of insurance, the other driver should have been ticketed for failure to provide proof of insurance.

Don't worry about the info. have your insurance fix your car and sue them for what it cost. to get you back on the road, rental car , and the insurance increased payment that you have to pay for the next 3 years.

You need to turn over all your information to your own insurance carrier. They will have the resources and investigators to discover the information you seek. Most states and state legislatures, as well as courts believe that insurance information should be freely available to parties in a dispute. Your situation is somewhat bizarre. Someone is trying to deceive someone, I would think. In our state, where minimal coverage is specified in the law, that information is routinely recorded on police reports.
Worst case scenario, you need to file a complaint in small claims court against the other party. Make sure you list the amount you are seeking as the maximum allowed. In this way, would they fail to appear, you will receive a default judgment . I would imagine they would cough it up well in advance of the docket setting, unless they are living outside the law.
