motorcycle insurance for a 17 year old in california?
Posted on Mar 15, 2008 under Insurance Information |hey im 17 years old, and got the money together for my first bike. i went down to the dealership and was about to buy the bike when i found out insurance cost like 4k for full coverage. i want full coverage but dont wanna pay through the nose for it. i have not owned a bike before and i really want one, but im not sure if i can aford to. so my question is does anyone know what i should do to resolve my problem? preferably recomendations of good insurance comannys. thanks so much

Your 17. That pretty much why its so high. And will be with most companys.

With your age on a motorcycle, you are not going to find cheap insurance, unless you sign up under your parents or you go through a very shady and risky online insurance company, which I would really advise against.
Looks like you will either have to shell out the money, or wait a couple more years and the premium will drop a lot.

u can find the VERY BASIC one for like a 1K a year. but overal, u'd still have to go 3K a year for a decent one. good luck./ i tried too but it just doesnt work like that.
and dont even think about going with no insurance cus not good/
