I drove fully insured for 23 years then one day I had an accident, it was the other party's fault. I lost the car, badly dislocated my shoulder and couldn't work for 18 months, lost the job, run a huge bill on the credit cards just to survive… the other party wasn't insured etc etc, to cut it short I never received a penny.
From then on I drove uninsured for about 5 years just out of spite.
