  1. google 'world nomads' thats a good, cheap one for twenty somethings. it wont really be too much.

  2. See an insurance agent in your country. You don't buy it in Thailand just because you plan to come here. I think it's a waste of money for someone your age.

I would recommend International SOS. The last time I traveled it was $ 120.00 for two weeks.
You can check the web site http://www.internationalsos.com

The biggest thing I would look into is how you are covered for medical expenses, as there is a tendency for tourists to start renting motor bikes here….and end up in accidents…and there is no NHS here

On your your baggage seeing a your backpacking dont bring anything with you would not want to loose….

you're young enough, and only there a week, chances are you'll be fine. but stay away from mopeds defo, can ruin your tan and more…20 green queens should take care of it. you'll probably qualify for cover for a boots/tesco etc one year plan with 2-3 weeks cover.(check it's good for asia).it will cover cameras etc, and worst case health scenario.( gettin minor stuff fixed isn't exspensive anyway)enjoy the food/beach/sun.

  6. should be vacinated before travelling
