I want to know what kind of steps/paperwork I need to do to form a legal car liability insurance agency. Not sure if it matters, but this agency will be in Texas for Texas drivers.
I put an offer on a house in a high risk flood plain, knowing that we would have to carry flood insurance. We had checked the FEMA website offering gov't insurance and got an estimate that put the payment around $100 or a little less per month. The real estate agent called and stated she had spoken with our potential mortgage broker and that they had said due to our 'poor credit' insurance would be between 200-300 per month. My credit is fair to good, but not in the 700's by any means. My real estate agent thinks that is outrageous (and states that our credit is not poor enough to penalize us this way).
My question is, do most mortgage lenders only use certain companies? Why don't they allow you to shop around and get the best rates if that is so? Or am I being set up so someone can make an extra $300/month????
Is there any way to make a lender let me shop around for flood insurance?

Assuming my delivery is smooth sailing w/o any problems, can I expect my health insurance to cover everything? Or are most people left with a hospital bill? I know it depends on my coverage, but I'm just curious how that has worked out for others. Thanks.

In 2000 i was hit by a drunk driver, treated for whiplash. (no xrays taken)
In 2001 a lump on my neck started to grow, had a lymphnode biopsy, benign. funny the lump didnt go away. Infact it has just grown. In 2003 I started having pain in my neck should and arm. After several c-scans, mri, and a bone scan, i was told i have an bone growth on the level of c5, but dont worry.. well i am worried, that was last aug. and the pain is still there, haunting my every move.. I definatly feel blown off by the doc's. the last ortho doc never even returned my call.. I am crazy pissed and confused on what to do. i just went to a new PCP who said she would pull my test records and see me after another round of PT, well my insurance trippled and i cannot afford to go. I called her office and told them that asking for any sugge
there have been several refrences that this is related to the accident. the neuro doc wanted the xrays from the evening of that accident, thats how i know none were taken..
I also have been told that once a claim has been opened anything related is covered for life, is that info correct?
I recently got rushed to the hospital after passing out and suffering a mild concussion. I have no health insurance. I was in the ER for 4 hours, had a CT scan(which i told i didnt want), and was brought in by an ambulance. Any idea of how much this will put me in debt?
