Bought a motorcycle, now what is my next step? Tags taxes, insurance, license?

you need a cycle license why buy it if you cant drive it lol

most insurance companies do not give a discount for the class. first you have to get a permit. then you carry it for atleast 30 days but no more than a year. you can ride with resrictions. after that get your lic.to ride without rest., you will need ins. to get the tags. i would start looking at ins. now. some ins. companies do not cover certian bikes. I ride a Honda rc51 and it is VERY hard to find reasonable rates for it.

Take the class. You will learn some valuable skills that will help you be a better rider. And a safer one.

well yeah, take the class and get the license first, then buy insurance because you can't register without it.

you need to take the safety coarse first then get your licence then get your insurance. i have worked in a motorcycle shop for many years and this way will work best for you with little confusion with your insurance

Hmmm…. I would say the very first thing you could do is find out if insurance is even mandatory in your state(also if whoever financed you requires you to have insurance). If not then you can get your license and tags and everything before(or while) you look for good insurance, if you would still want it that is.

Get Lo Jack !! gives you reassurance that your bike won't get stolen and also lowers insurances costs. lo jack has over a 95% recovery rate that your will be found if stolen. i got it on my bike and i feel way better leaving my bike anywhere around the city.
