If you have temporary guadianship papers singed by the childs mother that gives you the decision makeing authorithy over the child in the area of lifestyle, Medical, Education, and travel.You will be ableto enroll her in school and make medical decisions for her. The State SRS will consider her a foster child under your care and will provide her with medical insurance, Free school lunches, reduced school fees and will give you cash assistance for her. You probly won't get food stamps as all household income it counted but cash assistance is for the technicly foster child and only her income is counted, Also they will go after the mother and father for child support that they will keep to defray the cost of services you and the child recieve from them.
