You will probaly have to check with the personell office for an answer as I don't think a niece is elgible, you may have to adopt her to get military medical coverage or go to the state and get medicare coverage as a foster child.

This link will provide you with military insurance requirements for elgibilty.

  2. I would imagine so, but check with the ins. company first. If you are military then you should have access to JAG; use them! That's what they are there for, to help.

  3. Yes u can claim any child that is a LEGAL dependant. So if you have legal guardianship than you can but if you don't u need to get it before

  4. If you have legal guardianship of the child then I believe that you would be eligible to do so but would have to provide documentation. The best thing to do is call 1-800-444-5445, which is the TriCare phone number and give the sponsor's social and speak with someone regarding the eligibility. (This is the Tricare South number but they will be able to assist you in finding the number to your region.)
