It depends on who you are insured by now and where you are going. Insurance companies frown upon people who consistently change their carriers and give more benefits to people who stay with them longer. $7 is very little money to be messing wtih consistent coverage.

Who are you going to and from? If you are going to go to a National Chain like State Farm, I would say it's a smart decision. If you are going to a local insurance agency, you are giving up better customer service, more resources for your claims, and the ability to take your insurance with you should you move to another area.

Make a smart decision, but if you are changing companies just to save a penny a day, I think you need to reevaluate.

$7 by itself is not enough of an incentive to change. If you own a home, you might compare bundled insurance and find one company or the other is cheaper.
You can probably get much greater savings if you raise the deductible with your company. Make sure you have the emergency funds to cover the higher amount, but you can save a significant amount of money.

  3. No dont. After so many years companies give percs like first accident forgiveness and feature 15 where you can never be surcharges. IF you which you loose those options you have earned or are close to earning.

  4. on earth do you supply you with totally different deals?
