As long as it takes to correctly investigate, evaluate and resolve. If there are any delays though, the Insurance Company should be letting you know why the case is being delayed (They may be waiting on something outside of the control of both you and them, such as a doctor report or something from another company).

they can take as long as they want…my wife is going through a workers comp case and it has been almost 2 years of bs.
