I found a weird lump in my lower back, but I don't have insurance to go see a doctor. What should I do?

Posted on Jun 02, 2008 under Insurance Information |

It doesn't really hurt, but it is uncomfortable. I thought it was one of my vertabrae first, but it's to the side and it's fleshy, not hard like bone. The only way I could get it checked out is if the pain becomes unbearable and I have to go to the emergency room, and by then it would probably be too late. It SUX to be poor!!

  1. well first see get someone to see if alot of pus comes out of it, and if not then it is a broil.. you can take the middle of the egg and some table salt and mix it together and put it on your back with a piece of gauze and tape it then check it in the morning….

  2. Is the skin overlying the lump inflamed (i.e. the skin is red, even gentle pressure is uncomfortable)? If not, the most common thing would probably be a lipoma, just a benign fatty tumor. It could be slightly uncomfortable just from pushing on it a lot. If it really is uncomfortable, if it is definitely new, or if it is growing, then you should have it checked out by a doctor.
