I am looking to switch my car Insurance Company and am not sure who to go with?

It depends on what you're looking for, and where you're geographically located. Not all insurance companies do business everywhere.
Great customer service is usually found in companies that have dedicated agents that work with you both in buying insurance and filing / processing claims. Examples of such companies that come to mind are State Farm, American Family, Allstate.
Great rates are often found by the companies that have figured out how to automate the process online. Companies that come to mind for online service are GEICO and Progressive.

I've had really good luck with 21st Century and Progressive. Both are very competitive — easy online account access (pay, print ID cards). You can get a quote online in about 10 minutes.

I like indep. agents best. Currently my agent has me in SAFECO and the premiums have been better than any other companies I had checked. Her service is personal and efficient. I like having the agent nearby and you are not locked into one company if they boost the rates on you.

Your best bet is to go with a local agency. To find a local agent check out http://www.findlocalinsurance.com
Look up a few local offices and go to their offices to get quotes. This way you can see how the employees talk to people on the phone.

I use the General but only because its the cheapest.

I know it sounds stero-typical but we've had no problems with Gieco. When I had my acciedent a few yrs a go they called me the next day to take my statement but before they asked me ANYTHING about the accident they asked if I was okay. If I remember right they called me a week or 2 later to see how I was doing too. I wasn't even truely injured!!!
