The loss of employment on your end should have no bearings on your husbands insurance policy if he is paying for it through his employment or separately. However, his insurance policy may have a clause set forth regarding your work status, although I have never heard of such a thing. If you apply for new insurance, you may be denied benefits for your pre-existing condition because you have a pre-existing condition.
