I am so sorry to hear about your mother. With end-stage renal disease, your mother now qualifies for MediCare even though she is not over 65 years old! Depending on her financial income situation, she might also qualify for MediCaid. She should ask her nurse and/or doctor about this and get it started asap. Good luck to you.
You didn't say what state she lives in. Check with Family Independence Agency (it's a state agency) or Social Security office. Why isn't her doctor or hospital social worker helping her?

If it is truly end stage, and you cannot afford insurance, then contact your local medicade office. They may be able to help. Or even hospice.

She can get help from Medicaid.Get her help now.Call your Welfare office first thing in the morning and find out what you need to do.

check with your nearest hospital on how you can apply for Charity Care. perhaps your doc can tell you too.
