I NEED TO KNOW! What does SR22 insurance do, and do I need extra insurance beyond the SR22?

SR22 covers you, not your vehicle. You still need regular car insurance in addition to SR22. The SR22 basically insures that you will behave.

An SR22 is proof of financial responsibility. This is provided to you by your insurance company when you purchase automobile liability coverage

SRR I had to get one. What you have to do is get cheap ins. if money is an issue. and liability only is good.The DMV just wants you to know ur covered incase of an accident? Somewhere a log the way u must have gotten a ticket. They usually want it for 3 years.

I thought that sr22 was the form the insurance company gives you to prove to whoever that you have auto insurance and are covered for the car you're going to drive. Happy driving!!~:)z
