Depends on where you're from.
I recently just changed to Bel Air Direct (www.belairdirect.com) Or possibly check out insurancehotline.com, that might help as well. If in the states, i hear the Geico is pretty good. ANd their commercials are awesome lol.
First off, don't ever let you're insurance lapese. This would cause many problems. Keep points off your license by not getting into accidents or breaking speed laws/moving violations. Drive responsibily. Keep a larger deductible…if your deductible is 1000 versus 250, your insurance will be lower. You can also get discounts through some insurance agencies for good grades. and last but not least, shop around. I was surprised to find State Farm was my lowest bid. Apparently based on my driving record and age they offered a great deal.
Having a good driving record can get you cheaper insurance. Shopping around can also get you better rates, and the location that you list as garaging your vehicle also helps in reducing rates. Example is I live in Acushnet, MA. and insurance for my truck, bike, and car, are cheaper here. If I lived in New Bedford my rates go up. BUT If I live in New Bedford BUT Garage my truck and bike, and car here in Acushnet I get a cheaper rate. Location does play a part in the rates. Good luck in getting something cheaper/affordable.
All insurance companies are in business to make money. Sure, you can get a lower rate if shop around, but the benefits are also reduced in proportion to the amount that is lowered. Let me cite one example. In regards to collision, you can always lower the insurance rate for collision, with the same amount of coverage, , if you up you deductible(the amount you pay out of your own pocket). From what I said, you can see that it is six of one, and a half a dozen of the other. Cheaper rate-the less your claim will be, if you need to file.
You can go for AAMI. It normally gives you a good quote. However, it doesn't guarantee you a good service.
I still prefer NRMA. Even though you pay a little bit more, I can be sure that I will get good customer satisfaction.
Insurance is the biggest scam in this country beside George W. Bush! You pay & pay and get nothing in return. So it doesn't matter either way your screwed! Still don't believe me? I had no accidents or speeding tickets and my insurance still went up!
I was beeing scouring the Web for this info and just wanted to thank u for the post. BTW, just off topic, how can i find a copy of this theme? – Regards

INSURANCE AMOUNT FOR A BRAND NEW CAR IS FIXED.. LOOKING FOR A CHEAPER ONE IS MEANINGLESS, BUT U CAN MAKE A FAIR DEAL(NEGOTIATE) WITH THE DISTRIBUTOR.
