Just broke new phone. Insurance?
Posted on Jul 10, 2008 under Insurance Information |So I asked a question earlier about getting insurance for an already broken phone (few days old) and claim it in a week or two. Some people said it would work and some started off saying something about fraud blahblahblah.
No. I asked my dad for insurance and he didn't put it - and I didn't know. Anywayy… I do have insurance now.
Would me doing more damage to the phone.. lets say within a month… no that does not mean doing it on purpose (lol) and it really is an accident justify the means? I mean.. come on the phone.. broke more… accidentally with insurance.
More of an opinion question, lol. Morally … I feel bad but that friend says well… funny thing is this is my friend and her dad saying this.
I just want a non-ugly phone! ;[
Considering if it got re-damaged… I don't think it would matter besides the phone works …considering its the enV. the front part is .. a disaster but the insides are perfect and well usable but its not really pratical.

It may work, but if they can tell ANY of the damage is older than u claim they wont replace it and can get u for fraud… its ur choice

I was told by a cell phone company rep that if ever your phone were to break and you dont have insurance on it to just buy insurance and then wait awhile (a week at the minumum) and then report it stolen or lost (exactly what your thinking of). Just do it. You need a new phone and you already paid for the first one.
