Is there a corporate license for health insurance sales?

Posted on Jul 11, 2008 under Insurance Information |

We have a company that sells health insurance to small businesses, and individuals. We want to add sales people to expand our business. Do each of these sales people need to be licensed individually, or can I get a corporate license which will cover all of them.

  1. They all need to be licensed individually. Check with the Department of Insurance in the State that you are located.

They will all need to be licensed individually, which can be a time consuming process.
In some cases, however, if they are already licensed in one state, they can be similarly licensed in other states relatively easily.
