Try your State Social Services office for assistance (Medicaid). If this is a surgery you must have right away, you need to have it done. When you are feeling better ask for financial assistance forms through the hospitals patient accounts. My income was so low that I had to do this and the hospital can get you financial assistance through charity organizations which will cover most of the cost if not the total bill. Good luck!
