I don' really understand all those terms about health insurance. I want to buy one, but money is very important. Let's say I buy insurance with 2000 deductible, 2000 out-of-pocket, $30 co-pay and 30% co-insurance. Then I visit doctor that charges $200 per visit. Then I have x-ray and blood test done that cost $500.
What do I pay altogether? Someone told me that it would be $530 (co-pay + test) coz I wouldn't have met deductible yet. Is that true?
i checked out statefarm website and selected premium plan
would anybody know a wild guess on how much a 1997 buick lesabre insurance would cost with usaa for a 19 year old???
I recently got a letter from my mortgage company, offering me an additional insurance policy that will pay my mortgage payment if my home is damaged by a disaster for up to 24 months. And for each month that we can't live in our home, it pays $1000 to us. If the house is condemned, they will pay off the mortgage. If we ever make a claim on our regular homeowner's policy and have a deductible we need to pay, this policy would reimburse that amount, up to twice a year.
It's pretty cheap coverage…less than $30 a month. I'm trying to figure out if this is something we need. We live in the Midwest, and our area does not have huge weather events, but it does have occasional tornadoes.
I have received a letter from ge money saying i have taken out insurance on my account however i have no account or any correspondance whatsoever with ge money does this definately mean someone has my details? and if so what is the best course of action?
I recently had an accident that required me to go to the emergency room, have x-rays taken, and a soft cast put on my foot. Well now that all the fun is over the bills are rolling in. I have a very basic insurance plan through being a full-time college student that only covers $400 for outpatient emergency room care. Because of this the hospital told me to get charity care which brought the $2900 bill down to $1400. My insurance company told me though that they may be able to get a better discount since it is in their PPO network but the PPO provider (CHN) wont tell me what the dicount would be. I dont have a lot of money (being a full-time grad student) and dont want to roll the dice and go through insurance only to find out the the discount is only $300 and they cover me for $400 leaving me with a larger bill than if I went through charity care. The PPO discount for the X-Ray reading brought the bill from $61 down to $13 which is a huge discount. Does anyone know what to do?
