My mom is disabled and on COBRA while waiting for Social Security & Medi-cal to decide her case, she is one month behind on COBRA payment, which they did'nt tell her in phone conversation 2 wks. ago. She received a letter today saying she is now terminated. The insurance co. acting on behalf of her former employer says she can appeal, but then added that no one has ever won an appeal. My mom has heart problems and this is really stressing her out…I just want to help!

USAA insurance company only wants to give me $1000.00 & my daughter $700.00 for our injuries due to their insureds boyfriend who did a burn out in a puddle of water and rear ended me. We hurt our backs and necks but they are somewhat better for the most part. At least a few days a week we still have to deal with some pain, or stiffness, soreness. The adjuster isnt even paying me for my time off from work. What should I do????I know we could get more but I dont want to hire a lawyer, plus I only have until this June 19, 2006 to do something. Help!!! I want to be able to write some sort of letter sounding like I know what I'm talking about.

After an accident, why do car insurance rates goup? What happened to all the money I've paid in over the years?
Isn't that supposed to cover the cost of the accident?
I'm talking about non-injury accidents.
Sorry folks, somehow I posted this twice. Sorry to the other guy I erased.
But, what about all the money I've already paid in? That should cover the cost of the accident. My last accident cost $2,000 in damage to the other vehicle. I paid in way more than that with my premiums of the years.
