Does anyone know how to appeal a COBRA insurance termination due to late payment?
Posted on Dec 20, 2008 under Insurance Information |My mom is disabled and on COBRA while waiting for Social Security & Medi-cal to decide her case, she is one month behind on COBRA payment, which they did'nt tell her in phone conversation 2 wks. ago. She received a letter today saying she is now terminated. The insurance co. acting on behalf of her former employer says she can appeal, but then added that no one has ever won an appeal. My mom has heart problems and this is really stressing her out…I just want to help!

You have to work that out with the insurance company.
