my wisdom teeth are growing and i currently have no dental insurance (panic) any suggestions??

If you have no insurance, it will cost you some money, but I don’t think it would be something to go broke for. However, if they are not hurting you yet, then it may not me time yet to go to the dentist. When they do hurt, or if they are causing you pain right now, I would recomend you go se a Maxillofacial surgeon and not a dentist. Many people have bad experiences getting their wisdom teeth removed by dentists, I had mine removed recently by a maxillofacial and it was fast and the worst part of the healing process only lasted about a day. This worst part is a bunch of bleeding, it can be very anoying because you can’t spit normaly, and if you do, it only makes it worse. Having no insurance shouldn’t stop you from going to a profesional because if you let those teeth grow, they will hurt and even cause problems to your jaw and facial features. Google some more about this, but I recomend, that if it hurts or when it hurts, go to a maxillofacial

I would call around and find the cheapest dentist within 100 miles. (It’s worth it to drive a little further for good help). I go to a very low-cost dentist, and he’s great. I have to get my wisdom teeth removed in April, and just like you, I have no insurance. My tax returns should cover most of it.

If they are impacted or partially impacted then they are never going to erupt. I would have them looked at as soon as possible by a dentist. To get an exam and xrays will cost between about $90 - $150 depending on where you live in the U.S. At that point you will know if the general dentist is able to extract them or if you are going to have to see an oral sugeon. Wisdom teeth become very painful when they get infected and it’s impossible to say how long that will take to happen (or if it will happen). It’s best to have them taken care of before the potential pain starts.
If you’re low on cash and have no dental insurance I would suggest finding a dental school near you… the students always need patients to work on and the fees are very low. Another option is for you to contact the health department in your area. Many health departments now have dental clinics.

yes they are expensive i had to pay $1530.00 for my dental work it was about 425 a peice and 30 for dextal and the insurence paid about 500 buck for that stuff and that with medicare i try if i was you to get on medicare. it can run up to 2500 dollar or more if there complacations so i get a dental plan if i was you and check with the state. good luck.
