She had to get (I think) statements from 2 doctors saying that if she had a reduction then it would solve her back pain problem.
It never hurts to document, document, document! The more evidence you have that it is causing you a "disability" which could be fixed with reduction surgery- the more likely you are to get insurance to cover costs.
