I was hit by a reckless driver. The accident was not my fault. The other driver and I have the same insurance company (USAA). Now the problem is we are military and we are PCS-ing next month. We had basically had our car sold to a guy on my husbands boat we were just waiting for them to return from deployment to do all the paperwork. And we had it worked out to were we wouldn't turn the car over until the day before we left island. Now I obviously can't sell it and need a rental car. The insurance company isn't offering what I feel like is enough to replace my car. I used Kelly Blue Book to determine the actual cash value of my car it said 13,900. I owe 11,700. They offered 11,300 claiming that is what my car is worth. What do I do??? All I want is to be made 'whole'… my car to be paid off and a rental until I leave.

If I were to leave my job for a new one, lets say 3/31/08, does my current employer have authority to cease my medical benefits immediately or would it stay in force for a period of time, say 30 days? Benefits from my new employer would not begin until 5/1.

3 cars against 1 car at fault+3 claims right?
is there a limit per car?
sons truck wrecked but drivable, not at fault, lady at fault does nnot have enough coverage, we don't have collison. Only 1 car had collison and the main insurance company at fault is waiting for that one to see what it pays so we can see what #s are left, make sense now?

I am in need of new glasses and I realize that they are not cheap however, my job does not have vision insurance. Are their any individual insurance companies out there that are inexpensive?

I want to know what kind of steps/paperwork I need to do to form a legal car liability insurance agency. Not sure if it matters, but this agency will be in Texas for Texas drivers.

I put an offer on a house in a high risk flood plain, knowing that we would have to carry flood insurance. We had checked the FEMA website offering gov't insurance and got an estimate that put the payment around $100 or a little less per month. The real estate agent called and stated she had spoken with our potential mortgage broker and that they had said due to our 'poor credit' insurance would be between 200-300 per month. My credit is fair to good, but not in the 700's by any means. My real estate agent thinks that is outrageous (and states that our credit is not poor enough to penalize us this way).
My question is, do most mortgage lenders only use certain companies? Why don't they allow you to shop around and get the best rates if that is so? Or am I being set up so someone can make an extra $300/month????
Is there any way to make a lender let me shop around for flood insurance?
